Ford’s return aligns closely with new 2026 power unit regulations introduced by F1 governing body, International Automobile Federation (FIA), signaling an engaging focus on road-relevant technologies that emphasize adoption of hybrid power systems and sustainability standards.
How will Ford be involved in Formula One (F1)?
From the 2026 F1 season onward, Ford alongside Oracle Red Bull Racing will compete on their next-gen hybrid power units – custom-developed to deliver 50-50 power split between petrol and electric while running on advanced sustainable fuels, as mandated by the new FIA rules.
